To the person asking about neighbouring countries, they have really taken the lions share. There is a handy map showing Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries here: http://www.syriadeeply.org/map/ If I am not mistaken, the current estimate is that 1 in 3 people in Lebanon is now Syrian. Europe has taken very few people in comparison with Turkey and Lebanon.
